Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has issued a strong directive from Adiala Jail, saying there is no room in the party for those “playing on both sides of the wicket.” His sister Aleema Khan conveyed the message to the media outside the jail on Monday.
Speaking to reporters, Aleema Khan shared that Imran Khan has sent a three-point message for the party and the public.
According to her, Imran Khan complained about the inhumane treatment he is facing in jail, stating, “Even basic prisoner rights are not being granted. In the past eight months, I’ve only been allowed to speak to my children once, and my sisters are not permitted to meet me.”
She also revealed that the prison administration blocks access to books sent for him and refuses to allow checkups by his personal doctors.
In a clear message to the party, Imran Khan emphasized, “There is no place in PTI for those trying to play both sides. The time has changed.” He also called on the party to prepare for a massive national movement, adding, “I will not call people to Islamabad. This time, the movement will be launched across the entire country.”
Aleema Khan further stated that her brother remains unwavering in his stance: “Even if I’m kept in jail for life, I will not bow down. Those who do not align with this ideology have no place in PTI.”
