Police in the garrison city have registered three new First Information Reports (FIRs) against key PTI leaders, including former Prime Minister Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, his sister Aleema Khan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
The FIRs relate to incidents of rioting on November 24.
Filed under multiple laws, including the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) of 1997, the complaints were lodged on Monday by police officials.
According to police, the first FIR was registered at the Taxila police station. It accuses Imran Khan of directing Aleema Khan to deliver a public message regarding the planned November 24 protests. Aleema allegedly conveyed this message via a video broadcast on electronic media on November 19.
Bushra Bibi is also accused of instructing PTI members of the National and Provincial Assemblies (MNAs and MPAs) to organize groups of 5,000 to 10,000 participants for the protests.
