Imad Wasim joins BBL team as overseas player

KARACHI: Cricketer Imad Wasim has been added to the list of the Big Bash League (BBL) team as an overseas player for the 2020-21 season.

Melbourne Renegades have confirmed the signing of a Pakistani all-rounder. The team in a statement said that Imad Wasim will be available for the side from 26th December onwards after the conclusion of Pakistan’s T20I series against Black Caps in New Zealand.

The cricketer will join the likes of Rilee Rossouw, Mohammad Nabi, Noor Ahmad, and Imran Tahir on the Renegades’ overseas players’ roster.

The signings just keep on coming! And this one is currently ranked in the top 10 T20I bowlers in the world.

The 31-year-old Pakistani all-rounder has played 198 T20 games for various teams, taking 172 wickets and scoring 1787 runs. He’s currently placed at 9th on ICC rankings for T20I bowlers.

The all-rounder has had tremendous success in T20 cricket this year – having already won the T20 Blast and PSL with Nottinghamshire and Karachi Kings respectively. Netizens could not get over the exciting news of Wasim being a part of an international league.
