KARACHI: It has been revealed that the higher authorities of District Municipal Corporation (DMC) East have illegally posted a favoured person on a voluntarily created post.
According to details, Municipal Commissioner Wasim Mustafa Soomro has issued a notification and illegally posted Shamshad Ali Rao on a voluntarily created post – Salary Pool In-charge.
Relevant sources have revealed that the Municipal Commissioner has posted the official to embezzle the salaries of hundreds of fake and ghost contract employees. Sources also informed that Wasim Mustafa Soomro had also removed two officials for not tempering the payslips issued from the municipal corporation.
Sources further revealed that Shamshad Ali Rao is already carrying the responsibilities of In-charge Sanitary Municipal Services. On the other hand, he is also illegally posted as a director for charged parking.
Earlier in October, it was revealed that an official of the local government department is allegedly issuing government orders without the approval of the Secretary Local Government Najam Shah.
According to details, section officer Khaliq-ur-Rehman is allegedly issuing government orders for illegal promotions, including appointments, postings, and upgrades, without approval.
