RAWALPINDI: Illegal commercial constructions continued in Rawalpindi’s Union Council 30, 31 and 32 with the alleged patronage of Metropolitan Corporation Rawalpindi and elected representatives.
According to details, the construction mafia, with the alleged patronage, is building factories, warehouses and showrooms in the said area illegally, causing loss of billions of rupees to the national exchequer.
On the other hand, illegal construction is also causing trouble for the residents of the area. The residents of the area are suffering from various diseases due to the pollution, caused by illegal construction.
In this regard, the residents had staged several protests and filed several complaints on the citizen portal and the district police station. However, no action has been taken yet.
Residents of the area have appealed to the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Chief Justice of Pakistan to stop illegal commercial constructions and take action against the corrupt officials of the Metropolitan Corporation Rawalpindi.
