ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court will hear the petition over the safe return of Pakistani students stranded in China due to the ongoing coronavirus today.
IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah will conduct the hearing. A petition was filed by some Pakistani students living in Wuhan in which they pleaded through email that the government was not supporting them in the on-going situation.
The petitioners also pleaded the court to direct the government to help the students residing there and help them.
During the last hearing, the judge remarked that it was the responsibility of the government to decide about Pakistani students staying in Wuhan. He termed the condition a serious problem and ordered the government that it should satisfy the parents on the measures they have taken.
Over 100 family members of the stranded Pakistanis appeared before the court. They also pleaded the court that it was a clear stance of the government that it wanted their children to return to the country.
