ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Faryal Talpur the bail in the fake bank accounts case.
The IHC as per sources has directed Faryal Talpur to submit surety bond worth Rs10 million.
The IHC, in its 11th December’s judgment, also approved the bail petition of former president Asif Ali Zardari on medical grounds. He was also directed to submit Rs10 million surety bonds in the court.
Earlier today, Talpur’s judicial remand was extended by the accountability court for 21 days i.e till 6th January in the same case.
Both Zardari and Talpur are being held at Adiala Jail after they were arrested by the accountability watchdog earlier this year on charges of laundering billions of rupees through fictitious accounts.
