Finance Minister and PML-N senior leader Ishaq Dar has said that appointments to two important positions of Pakistan Army will be done by November 28, if the President of the country obstructs the issue of appointment, then we also have a plan B.
Answering the questions of the host in a private TV channel program on Wednesday, Senator Ishaq Dar said that the appointment of Chairman Joint Chief of Staff will be done before November 27 while both the appointments can be made on two different days. “The entire process will be completed by November 28”, he added.
In response to a question, he said that if the President tries to obstruct the appointment of the Army Chief, then they have a ‘Plan B’.
Answering the question about the retirement of Lt. Gen. Asim Munir on November 27, Ishaq Dar said “we have a solution for this as well.”
Discussing the economic situation of the country, he said that there is no risk of the country defaulting and all payments will be made on time. Regarding negotiations with Tehreek-e-Insaaf, he said that they are ready for negotiations, but the negotiations should be unconditional.
