KARACHI: The Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi has said that the decisions on Indo-Pak cricket will be made at government level. “Pakistan Cricket Team will not participate in World Cup 2023 incase Govt of Pakistan told us not to travel to India,” he said.
Talking to media here on Najam Sethi said Najam Sethi “I contacted Mickey Arthur because Pakistan remained a top team under his coaching. Mickey Arthur is currently busy with Derbyshire but PCB has taken suggestions from him regarding coaches for Pakistan. PCB will confirm new coaching panel within a week or so.”
Responding to a question, he said “we have received a negative feedback regarding Pakistan Junior League (PJL) and we will think about it’s future. However the idea of The Women’s League is interesting.” he said he would give full support to women’s cricket development in Pakistan.
Najam Sethi said “I strong believe in not changing the historic names of the cricket stadiums in Pakistan just for the sake of few crores. There are only few stadiums in the world which are named after sponsors.”
Responding to another question, he said “I had conveyed my message to curator that his job will be over incase a dead pitch is prepared in test series against New Zealand.”
About Ramiz Raja, he said “I respect Ramiz Raja. He will never be stopped by PCB from doing cricket commentary.”
