KARACHI: IDEAS, a biennially held defense exhibition, is all set to once again bring together all the industry’s players across the globe to showcase the latest technological innovations.
Officials said that the IDEAS 2022, being the most strategically important event of the region, would once again bring together all the industry’s players across the globe to showcase the latest technological innovations. The 4 days of the Show are exclusively for trade visitors and high official defense delegates.
IDEAS was first launched in the year 2000, and later supported by defense industries, research development experts, finance experts/ economists and policy experts, it emerged as an important platform for sharing of information and exchange in the defense field.
They said that over the years, the most productive geopolitical region of Asia had become one of the largest markets for Defense Products. In a bid to effectively meet the new challenges posed by the transformed regional and global security dynamics, Asia, as well as governments of the neighboring continent of Africa, allocates significant budgets for modernization and up-gradation programs for their armed forces.
The event will play an important role in not just brining international peace, cooperation and stability but also improve Pakistan’s strategic relations with other countries.
It is pertinent to mention here that the last exhibition held in 2018 was attended by 524 exhibiting delegations from 45 countries with over 262 high-level delegations also visiting the event.
Till now, all editions of IDEAS have been made successful by the efforts of government institutions, Armed forces, state and private defense industries, trading authorities and specially with help from people of Karachi.
