GENEVA: The International Court of Justice will hear the case against Israel today for the genocide of the oppressed Palestinians in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
According to the details, South Africa filed a petition against Israel in the International Court of Justice and adopted the position that Israel has committed the genocide of Palestinians by the attacks in Gaza. Pakistan had expressed solidarity with South Africa’s initiative.
In the request filed by South Africa, it has been requested for the emergency suspension of the Israeli military operation in Gaza. The Zionist government of Israel has announced that the relevant authorities will be presented to the International Court of Justice to defend the charges.
Last year, on December 29, 2023, South Africa filed an application in the International Court of Justice accusing the Palestinians of genocide in Gaza. Pakistan’s Acting Permanent Representative to the United Nations Usman Jadoon welcomed South Africa’s initiative.
Acting Permanent Representative Usman Jadoon said that Pakistan is waiting for the legal position of the International Court of Justice regarding the occupied Palestinian territories. It should be noted that more than 23,300 Palestinians have been martyred in Gaza due to Israel’s barbaric bombardment.
