An International Cricket Council (ICC) delegation arrived in Karachi last night as part of the preparations for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.
The delegation will conduct a detailed visit to the National Bank Stadium, assessing the security arrangements and other logistical aspects to ensure the venue meets international standards.
During their visit, the ICC team is scheduled to meet with local law enforcement agencies to discuss and review security measures for the tournament.
Upon completing their visit, the delegation will compile a comprehensive report detailing their findings and recommendations for hosting the event successfully.
The ninth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy is returning after more than two decades and Pakistan will be the host country for the ninth edition of the Champions Trophy which is a flagship program of the ICC. ICC gave the rights for the upcoming 2029 champions trophy to the Indian grounds.
The ICC Champions Trophy will take place in Pakistan from February to March 2025. Organized by the International Cricket Council, this One Day International(ODI) cricket tournament will feature a round-robin and knockout format. There will be 8 teams participating in a total of 15 matches.
