ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Bar Association (IBA) has condemned the custodial torture, disgracing sanctity of family stature of PTI Senator Azam Swati by releasing his private video, and emphasized the need to acknowledge the domains of power executive, legislative and judiciary for the survival and endurance of civil supremacy and democratic norms,

In a statement issued here on Friday, the IBA said “in sequel of preceding events of unconstitutional, unlawful and custodial torture of parliamentarians, journalists, members of bar and bench, and other segments of society accrued in recent past, the Islamabad Bar Association emphases that the survival and endurance of civil supremacy, democratic norms and profound parliamentary system are always subjected to acknowledge the domain of powers of Executive, Legislative and Judiciary under the constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973. “

The IBA said, however, at the eve of any intrusion and departure, the nation always witnessed its anomalies, and dis-stability caused to the whole structure of social state.
The IBA, condemning the custodial torture and disgracing the sanctity of family stature by releasing the unethical videos of its member Senator Azam Khan Swati, who also holds the position as Member Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment in superior courts, demanded the law enforcement agencies to take stem legal action against such transgression and exposed such delinquents.
The IBA paid gratitude to its Senator Barrister Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar whose principled positions on human rights issues had been unwavering and beyond party politics, who always raised his voice against such unconstitutional and unlawful acts either they happened by any member belonging to any political party and state agencies without any hesitation, reservations and fear.

Khokhar, it may be recalled, was asked to resign by his party, Pakistan People’s Party, for voicing support for PTI Senator Azam Khan.Â
