‘Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay’ became one of the most anticipated dramas of the year which in no time grabbed public attention due to A-list cast, unfortunately, even actors like Mahira Khan Usman Mukhtar, and Kubra Khan could not save a drama filled with anything but toxicity.
The story revolves around three cousins: Aswad, Mehreen, and Mashal. Aswad. Everything in the drama with every episode was not going well until one night, when Mashal died, the episodes became even worse.
Now without any proof, everyone blames Mehreen for Mashal’s murder, gets her arrested. Shabbo, their maid, knows something about what happened that night but remains to stay silent.
The drama is not being very well received by the audiences because of the complexity of its story, the public seems to be unhappy with each and every character of the drama, and why we shouldn’t be? The main character of the drama ‘Aswad’ has left no leaf unturned to represent an alpha toxic masculinity in Pakistan.
For some fans, the drama is continuing to be toxic and problematic in every episode. For them, Aswad is a misogynistic man no matter where lives or how literate he is, he will always be a part of a toxic society. On the other hand, a few defended the show saying that the drama is related to the people who have experienced childhood trauma or possess a traumatic past.
Inshort Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay has literally challenged to the phase ‘education help solve social problems’. No! Apparently, it doesn’t! Mehreen’s mamu and educated businessman yet continue to act inhumanely for the sake of his daughter.
Mehreen’s grandmother chooses to be ignorant of all problems and still manages to taunt her grandchild. There there is Aswad, a man brought up in the US, lives in US, works in US but still lacks to judge people properly.
