Hubco Green (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of Hub Power Company Limited (HUBCO), Pakistan’s largest Independent Power Producer (IPP), has partnered with Pakistan State Oil (PSO) to establish an Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure nationwide.
This collaboration follows HUBCO’s announcement last year about its expansion into the EV charging sector.
In November of the last year, PSO and Hub Power Holdings Limited (HPHL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a comprehensive EV charging network across Pakistan, signifying a major step towards sustainable energy.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Syed Taha, Managing Director & CEO of PSO; Mohsin Ali Mangi, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer (CSTO) of PSO; Muhammad Kamran Kamal, CEO of HUBCO; and Aly Khan, CEO of MMC and Board Member of HUBCO.

Moreover, as part of its commitment to establishing a local vehicle assembly plant for new energy vehicles in Pakistan, Mega Motor Company (Private) Limited, an associated company, has recently entered into a supply and manufacturing agreement and a technical license agreement with the global EV giant BYD Auto Industry Company Limited.
