The Cabin Alone rumor gained traction after a Facebook post by a page called “YODA BBY ABY,” which describes itself as “100% satire and fake news.” The post, accompanied by a digitally edited image of Culkin and O’Hara on a festive holiday backdrop, made claims that the two stars would reunite for a sequel in which Kevin McCallister and his mom, Kate, defend a cabin from the bumbling burglars Marv and Harry. The image included a synopsis promising “snow-covered traps, outrageous pranks, and high-stakes holiday antics” in a thrilling holiday adventure.

Is Cabin Alone Really Happening?

The short answer is no. There is no official confirmation from Disney or any movie studio about a Home Alone sequel titled Cabin Alone. The Facebook post was purely satirical, and while it may have sparked excitement among fans, it is, as they say, too good to be true.

Macaulay Culkin and Catherine O’Hara did not announce any plans to reprise their roles as Kevin McCallister and his mom, Kate.
