KARACHI: A report has been prepared on the incident of fire in Teen Hatti. As a result of the fire, 300 huts became a pile of ashes while 5 people were injured due to burns.
According to the details, heavy damage was caused as a result of a terrible fire in the huts located under the three Hatti bridges yesterday. Fire brigade officials said that the number of huts burnt to ashes as a result of the incident is 300.
Allama Iqbal Express from Sialkot to Karachi narrowly escaped the accident. Sources said that during checking at Sahiwal railway station on the way to Karachi, the wheels of Allama Iqbal Express were found damaged.
A fire broke out suddenly yesterday in the huts built under the three Hatti bridge within the limits of the supermarket police station, which intensified as we watched. As a result of the fire, smoke spread far and wide.
Considering the severity of the fire, KMC dispatched 9 fire tenders to douse the fire. Firefighters succeeded in dousing the fire after a struggle of 2 hours. The cooling process was also started. Difficulties were encountered in reaching the huts under the bridge.
Fire brigade officials said that the cause of the fire could not be known. Some of the victims claimed to have heard the sound of cylinders exploding before the fire started, while some other victims expressed other concerns. Some people also blamed the police for setting the fire.
