Prominent columnist Irfan Siddique of Daily Jang has revealed how Natasha Danish’s husband, Danish Iqbal, and his mother managed to secure forgiveness from the family of the Karsaz accident victims.
According to Siddique’s Sunday column, the family of the deceased, Imran Arif, was initially unwilling to forgive Natasha Danish. However, a significant turn of events occurred when Danish Iqbal and his mother made a heartfelt appeal to the widow of Imran Arif.
Siddique reports that Danish Iqbal and his mother visited the widow at night. Danish Iqbal fell at her feet, crying and begging for forgiveness. His mother also laid her chador in front of her as a gesture of deep regret.
“They said that since the accident happened, no one in their house could sleep for a single moment. They all consider themselves guilty, and they admit Natasha’s mistake but seek forgiveness,” the column read.
“During their visit, Danish Iqbal revealed that their family had been tormented by a blackmailer mafia since the accident. He explained that the mafia was demanding one billion rupees to secure a settlement with the victims’ family. He added that some members of the mafia also asked for a factory to be named after them,” the column continued.
Danish Iqbal pleaded with the victims’ family to take any amount of money they wanted but to help them escape from the blackmailers.
On this occasion, Imran Arif’s widow and his brother revealed that they were also being contacted and pressured by the same mafia for a settlement, with threats of further harm to their family. They took an oath, stating that they did not want a single rupee for the death of their family members. They only wanted justice, and while they might forgive Natasha in this world due to poverty and pressure from powerful people, they would not forgive her in the hereafter.
The columnist notes that under these circumstances, the victims’ family forgave the accused without demanding anything in return.
