ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the weather will remain hot and dry in most parts of the country.
According to the PMD, the weather will remain to be hot in Sindh, southern Punjab, and Balochistan. However, thundershowers are expected in northeastern Punjab, Kashmir and adjoining areas. The hot weather will continue to prevail in Lahore while the wind will blow at a speed of 16 km per hour.
The weather will be warm and dry in most parts of the country on Wednesday while it will be very hot in Sindh, South Punjab, and Balochistan. However, thundershowers are expected in Upper Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir at night.
The weather remained hot in most parts of the country earlier on Monday but it rained in Sialkot, Narowal, and Lahore. Sialkot received 21 mm, Narowal 18 mm, and Lahore 5 mm of rain.
The highest temperature of 47 degrees Celsius was recorded in the Mohenjo Daro area of Sindh and 46 degrees Celsius in Dadu and Nokandi.
