Karachi has seen some rain in recent days, but it doesn’t appear like it will be enough to liberate the city from the heat just yet because the rain often stops and the heat soon returns. As the Met Office forecast, the sea air will return today, bringing hot and muggy conditions to the port city.
Today’s high temperatures could be between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius. With an 83% humidity level, the weather is quite miserable. The sea breeze is predicted to return to the city this evening, bringing with it better weather conditions.
“The wind speed could reach to 20 to 30 kilometers per hour speed,” the weather department said.
The southerly low pressure system was expected to finish two or three days ago, but it hasn’t moved, according to Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz. Today, the low pressure region is probably going to break up and head towards Oman.
The people of Karachi should feel relieved as a result of this move. In certain areas of the city, there’s also a chance of light rain combined with thunder. But the city’s weather will continue to be extremely hot and muggy over the next 24 hours.
