Following the Pahalgam false flag incident, religious extremism in India has surged, with radical Hindu groups once again directing their rage toward unarmed Muslim civilians.
In a recent incident in the Indian city of Nainital, mobs of Hindu extremists vandalized and looted Muslim-owned shops while police stood by silently, failing to intervene.
Amid the chaos, a courageous Hindu girl, Shahila Nagi, stood up to the mob, forming a human shield in front of the shops and trying to protect the victims. Despite being unarmed, she fearlessly confronted the rioters and attempted to prevent the destruction.
Shahila Nagi has since received threats from Hindu extremists for siding with Muslims, including rape threats, but remains undeterred.
In a statement, she said, “What happened in Pahalgam is now being used as an excuse for communal violence. Just look at the mindset that has brought these extremists to the streets. Their only goal is to harm Muslims and incite riots.”
She added, “Even though I am being threatened for speaking the truth, I will not be afraid. The strength of truth is on my side.”
