A video circulating on social media shows a violent attack on a British-Pakistani restaurant in Sheffield, England, allegedly carried out by Hindu extremists.
The incident, believed to be religiously motivated, involved a group of intoxicated Indian nationals who reportedly vandalized the restaurant and harassed staff.
Rahim Ullah Khan, the restaurant’s owner, told a private television channel that the attackers, visibly drunk, caused a disturbance after their meal. They falsely accused the restaurant of mixing beef into a dish that was supposed to be beef-free.
Khan also stated that the attackers damaged the restaurant’s windows and other property. The restaurant management has confirmed that no beef was used in the dish in question.
Despite the false accusations, the intoxicated individuals physically assaulted the restaurant workers. Sheffield police have confirmed the arrest of the perpetrators and are currently investigating the incident.
