Heroin smuggling foiled at Lahore airport

LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) team claimed to have recovered heroin from a Doha-bound flight passenger at the Allama Iqbal International airport in Lahore.

According to ANF sources, the ANF security checked the luggage of a Doha-bound passenger and recovered 1300 grams of narcotics from his possession.

The drugs were hidden in the cloths, the passenger was carrying with him, the officials said. the smuggler was taken into custody by the ANF for further investigations.

Earlier, on 16 December 2019, ANF officials have seized a parcel bound for the United States, carrying narcotics.ANF authorities said, during action in Sialkot, they thwarted a bid to smuggle narcotics abroad in a parcel.

The recovered parcel carried about 6.9 kilograms of drugs and worth millions in the international market.
