The ‘Legend Of Maula Jatt’ director Bilal Lashari has recently shared the reason behind choosing Fawad instead of filmstar Shaan as Maula Jatt.
In the latest interview with actor and comedian Ahmed Butt, the director said, “I think Shaan is best for the stories which are about a single person.” He added that fOr Legend Of Maula Jatt, we needed the combination of two.
“I have worked with Shaan but I cast Fawad and Hamza because of the combination we wanted and also they were the new stars and we wanted to create a whole new thing,” he maintained.

According to Lashari, the two were always in his mind since the idea came to his mind. “As per Hamza, ‘at that time, even, they were not popular, I think they became famous just to make ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ this big,” he maintained.
On the work front, Lashari’s ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ has earned more than Rs 150 crore and it is successfully running in cinemas. ‘The Legend Of Maula Jatt’ was released worldwide on October 13, 2022.
Just after its release, the movie performed really well in international cinemas and according to the producers, the International cinemas had to increase the shows of the movie because of the huge public demand. Directed by Bilal Lashari, the movie cast features Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malik, and Gohar Rasheed in pivotal roles.
