Almost 76 years ago, not only did Pakistan gain independence, but India also achieved freedom from British colonial rule in the same month we became independent. However, as time passed, India saw a rise in extremism and expansionist ambitions.
Right from the beginning, India was concerned about how Muslims had managed to create the world’s largest Islamic state and started launching attacks on Pakistan. Let’s find out how India became a global terrorist state over the past 76 years.
Occupation of Kashmir
Jammu and Kashmir, which had a Muslim majority, was originally supposed to become part of Pakistan in accordance with the principles of the partition. However, ignoring all principles, India occupied Kashmir, and today it exists in the form of two parts, one free and the other under Indian control.
Terrorism against minorities
Indian global terrorism is not hidden from anyone around the world, including Pakistan, Nepal, the UK, and Canada.
Besides Pakistan and Nepal, even Indian citizens are not safe from this state-sponsored terrorism. The majority of victims are Muslims and other minorities. Evidence shows that India actively promotes terrorism.
When we look at the numbers, the Sikh community in India has also suffered immensely. Since the 1980s, violence erupted, and from 1984 to the present, over 100,000 Sikhs have been killed. More than 150 Sikh massacres have occurred, too.
There’s no doubt that India has spilled a lot of Sikh blood, both in the name of violence and sectarian clashes. Shouldn’t the demand for a separate Sikh homeland be considered when counting these atrocities?
Massacres of the Sikh community
Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a leader of the Khalistan movement, was killed on June 18, 2023, and he was involved with a senior “R” officer in Canada. However, this was not the first incident; in June 2023, Avtar Singh Khanda, also associated with “R,” was poisoned and killed in the UK.
During the past year, in May 2023, Rishmit Singh was killed in the UK. In July 2022, Rapudman Singh was shot dead in British Columbia, Canada. More than 15 Sikhs were targeted and killed.
Last year, famous Sikh singer Sardool Musa Wala was shot dead on May 29, 2022, and although a Hindu gangster claimed responsibility, this incident was given a color of “internal enmity” instead of considering it an act against the minority.
Following this, Canadian Sikh Harkeerat Kaur demanded security from Canada, expressing strong reservations after the killing of Hardeep Singh.
Terrorism in Pakistan and Nepal
Ajit Doval, former chief of the Indian intelligence agency RAW and National Security Advisor to India, had threatened to break Pakistan’s federal unit Balochistan while addressing Sashtra University in Tamil Nadu.
Apart from the navy, Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was arrested in Pakistan for violating Pakistan’s airspace in the 2019 Pakistan-India conflict. He was released after being a gracious host, which we call ‘Jazba-e-Khair Sehgali.’
Terrorism in Canada
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s revelation that the Indian government is involved in the killing of Canadian citizens and Sikh leaders, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, is a new revelation that has led to a global backlash against India.
The truth is that India is using terrorism to silence the voices of Sikhs in Canada. This is why the Canadian government has decided to expel Indian diplomats from the country, and it has also been revealed that “R” was orchestrating “duties” in Canada under the leadership of the infamous Khaleda.”
