Nihari is undoubtedly one of the foods that Karachiites love the most and will never turn down at any time of the day. There are several different variations of the dish in Karachi, and one of them is the distinctive Jumma Gujjar Nihari.
There is no doubt that Karachi people are quite fussy about their Nihari and cannot compromise on the taste and spices. Their passion of Nihari drives them to investigate other possibilities for the meal in search of the ideal plate.
This time again, yet another Nihari spot has been discovered by Karachiites, and that’s Jumma Gujjar Nihari which went on to become a sensation, with everyone from the city having the urge to try it, unbothered of long queues.
Consequently, curiosity got the better of us and we decided to visit Jumma Gujjar Nihari to find out what exactly is all the fuss about. And boy, we did. It’s arguably the most delicious Nihari is on the offer in entire Karachi.
“Our Nihari has ‘Desi Ghee Ka Tadka’,” Sultan, the manager of Juma Gujjar Nihari, told MM News. “And I can assure you no Nihari has that in Karachi.”
He said that this idea occurred to him a while back and he tried it, and people really appreciated it.
“We constantly strive to make improvements in the taste of Nihari, which can be confirmed from the people having it.” He added.
MM News was told that about 100 kilograms of Nihari is made every day. Around 12 o’clock midnight, the cooking gets started and it continues till 8 in the morning. And from 9AM to midnight, Karachiites savor the unique taste of Jumma Gujjar Nihari.
