A complete ban has been imposed on collecting charged parking fees on all roads of Karachi city, and a notification has been issued. Karachi citizens are now free from illegal parking fees, as reported by national media on Friday.
According to the details, Karachi residents were being extorted in the name of charged parking wherever they went, which caused distress to every citizen.
Parking fees will now only be collected in plazas, plots, or designated areas of specific councils, according to the notification issued by the Sindh government
As per the government’s notification, legal action will be taken against those illegally collecting parking fees from citizens.
Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab stated that the government’s notification will be implemented immediately from today. According to the notification, no institution of the Sindh government can now collect parking fees anywhere in the city.
