Pakistani actress Hania Aamir and Indian Punjabi cinema superstar Diljit Dosanjh’s film Sardaar Ji 3 is performing exceptionally well at the overseas box office and is steadily moving toward success.
According to reports, the film has earned Rs 336 million within just one week of its release and is now only Rs 164 million away from reaching the major milestone of Rs 500 million.
Following the Pahlgam incident and the resulting tensions between India and Pakistan, the film Sardaar Ji 3 was not released in India. Casting a Pakistani actress has reportedly been the reason for the film ban in India. However, this did not stop the film’s path to success.
Sardaar Ji 3 has got extremely positive response from audiences abroad, including in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Pakistan, with Indian-origin viewers also showing strong appreciation.
Within just one week, the film grossed Rs 336 million, a figure film analysts consider highly impressive. The film received particularly strong response in North America, while its screening in Pakistan also continues successfully. With favorable reviews and strong word-of-mouth, the film is expected to continue drawing audiences to cinemas in the coming weeks.
Achieving Rs 500 million in revenue is no small feat for a Punjabi-language film, and at its current pace, Sardaar Ji 3 is likely to reach this milestone soon. The film was reportedly produced on a budget of Rs 350 million, and its international success has made it financially viable. Analysts believe that if the film had been released in India, it could have achieved global box office earnings of up to Rs 1 billion.
“Sardar Ji 3” is directed by Amar Hindal, while the producers include Ganbir Singh Sidhu, Manmohan Sidhu and Diljit Dosanjh. The story of the film is written by Dheeraj Ratan and Manila Ratan, and the film was released in theaters on June 27, 2025. Along with Diljit Dosanjh, the film also stars Nirav Bajwa, Jazmin Bajwa and Hania Aamir.
