Punjab Governor Omer Sarfraz Cheema in a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif while informing about the political crisis and constitutional stalemate in Punjab said that unconstitutional and illegitimate, counterfeit Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz Sharif has taken Punjab province hostage.
In the letter, Omer Sarfraz Cheema said that the Prime Minister was aware of the political and legal impasse in the province and had officially informed him and other leaders about the situation.

He further said that the resignation of Usman Buzdar as Chief Minister is controversial, for a majority in the Punjab Assembly, the PML-N got the support of de facto members. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz, who came here illegally and forged, has been holding the province hostage since April 16.
Furthermore, in a letter to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab Governor Omer Sarfraz Cheema said that constitutionally and legally Jomore was in my power. “I promise my nation that I will fight this ‘Sicilian mafia’ with the strength of the people till the end,” he said.

It may be recalled that Governor Punjab has also written in a letter to the Prime Minister that the offices and government resources in the possession of the illegal and unconstitutional Chief Minister will be released soon. Punjab Governor Omer Sarfraz Cheema has written in the said letter that the highest position or chair does not make a person great. “For this, you have to fulfill your responsibilities and duties honestly, because after you leave, this character becomes your identity for life,” he said.
