The major pillar of Hajj, Wuquf-e-Arafah, will be performed today. All pilgrims, including 115,000 Pakistanis, have reached Mina, where they will offer five prayers: Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr.
According to details, this morning, the pilgrims will proceed to the plain of Arafat, where they will listen to the Hajj sermon at Masjid Namira and offer combined Zuhr and Asr prayers.
Between Asr and Maghrib, the standing at Arafat will take place, during which pilgrims will humbly supplicate to Allah. At sunset, a signal will be given, and without offering the Maghrib prayer, pilgrims will proceed to Muzdalifah, where they will offer Maghrib and Isha prayers together.
After spending the night under the open sky, pilgrims will offer the Fajr prayer and return to their tents in Mina at sunrise.
They will perform Rami al-Jamarat (stoning of the devil), throwing seven pebbles at the major devil (Jamarah al-Aqaba), offer sacrifices, shave or trim their heads, and remove their Ihram to wear regular clothes. On 11th Dhul-Hijjah, pilgrims will throw seven pebbles each at all three devils — the small, the middle, and the large.
After stoning the pillars, pilgrims will go to the Kaaba for Tawaf al-Ziyarah. On 12th Dhul-Hijjah, after midday, they will again throw pebbles at all three devils.
After the stoning ritual, pilgrims will depart from Mina to their residences. If a pilgrim wishes to stay in Mina for one more day, they will throw pebbles at all three devils on the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah and then return to their accommodations in Makkah.
Once the obligation of Hajj is complete. Some pilgrims will perform Tawaf al-Wada (farewell circumambulation) and return to their countries, while others will travel to Madinah to visit the Prophet’s Mosque.
