ISLAMABAD: The last date for submitting applications for Hajj 2025 ends today, here on Tuesday.
As per the details, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that all applications received today will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
According to the ministry’s statement, aspiring pilgrims can deposit the second installment of their Hajj obligations in 15 designated banks from December 19 to 27.
A total of 179,210 Pakistanis are expected to perform Hajj under the government’s Hajj 2025 scheme. The cost of each pilgrim is between Rs 1,075,000 and Rs 1,175,000.
For the application process, pilgrims will have to deposit Rs 200,000 along with the application and another Rs 400,000 after being selected through a lottery. The remaining amount is due by February 10, 2025.
In case of cancellation, the ministry has said that a deduction of Rs 50,000 will be applied to the first installment, and if the third installment is not paid, a deduction of Rs 200,000 will be made. No refund will be provided after February 10, 2025.
Furthermore, the government has increased the compensation for the heirs of deceased pilgrims from Rs 1 million to Rs 2 million. 1,000 seats will be reserved for hardship cases, and 300 seats will be reserved for low-income employees registered under the Employees Old Age Benefit Institution (EOBI).
