ISLAMABAD: A grand reception is being planned for Prime Minister Imran Khan after he returns from a successful visit and historic address at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
According to details, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced to give an outstanding reception to Prime Minister Imran Khan on return home. The return has been delayed after his plane developed a technical fault and had to re-routed back to New York.
PTI’s chief organiser Saifullah Khan Niazi has directed party works to make necessary preparations in this regard. In a statement, he said the dynamic address of the prime minister in the UN General Assembly has raised the head of the nation high.
Niazi said the Muslim Ummah especially the people of Kashmir have got a strong voice. He said Islamabad will give a historic welcome to their leader and send a strong signal to the world.
He has reportedly ordered party workers to receive the prime minister at the airport in glorious fashion and show their affection for their leader, and his exhaustive efforts to highlight the plight of Kashmiris.
Earlier, the airplane carrying Prime Minister Imran Khan and his delegation back to Pakistan was rerouted to New York after developing a technical fault.
The minor technical fault was being fixed and there was no cause for concern. The technical fault was noticed when the airplane was near Toronto. It is not immediately clear when the fault will be fixed.
PM Imran will spend the rest of the night in New York and board the airplane once the technical fault has been fixed
