The federal government has announced plans to accommodate employees affected by the rightsizing initiative by adjusting them to vacant positions within ministries, divisions, and federal departments.
As a result of the rightsizing policy, many federal employees will be moved to the surplus pool. These individuals will then be reassigned to the identified vacant posts across various government entities. However, there is no provision to cash out or redeem the surplus pool credits.
This initiative aims to mitigate the impact of the restructuring process while ensuring the efficient utilization of available resources within government departments.
According to The News, the Establishment Division has taken immediate action by requesting detailed information on all vacant posts available for direct recruitment.
