ISLAMABAD: The government has signed an agreement with the World Bank worth 500 million dollars.
The World Bank will provide a total of $500 million to Pakistan for the Punjab Resilient and Comprehensive Agricultural Transformation Project and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Accessibility Project for which an agreement has been reached between Pakistan and the World Bank.
Under the agreement, the World Bank will provide $200 million for the Punjab Flexible and Comprehensive Agricultural Transformation Project, while $300 million will be provided for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Accessibility Project.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, it is stated that the World Bank has agreed to provide a total of 500 million US dollars with the World Bank for the Punjab Flexible and Comprehensive Agricultural Transformation Project worth 200 million US dollars and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Accessibility Project worth 300 million US dollars. Financial agreements have been signed.
On behalf of the Government of Pakistan, Dr. Kazim Niaz, Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, signed these bilateral agreements, while World Bank Country Director Naji Benhasin signed the agreements on behalf of the World Bank.
