The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to start a decisive operation against the miscreants involved in the firing incident on the relief convoys in Lower Kurram and has ordered the evacuation of four villages in the areas to prevent any public loss.
As per the details, the villages of Ucheat, Mandori, Dadkamar, and Bagan in Kurram will be evacuated.
According to the spokesperson of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, a high-level meeting was held on the situation in Kurram district. In the meeting, it was decided to takethe strictest and decisive action against the elements involved in the firing incident in Lower Kurram on Monday.
It was also decided during the meeting to evacuate the four villages of Ucheat, Mandori, Dadkamar, and Bagan in Lower Kurram. The decision to evacuate these villages is to ensure the safety of the lives and property of the people so that they do not suffer any harm. Search operations will be conducted after evacuating these villages.
The provincial government has decided to put those involved in incidents against the state in Kurram in Schedule IV and to set a price on the heads of those involved in the unrest in Kurram and the masterminds behind the violence.
The meeting was informed that after Monday’s incident, the distribution of relief funds in Kurram has been temporarily suspended. However, the demolition of bunkers in Kurram will continue at an accelerated pace.
The meeting also decided to strictly implement the campaign to demilitarise Kurram as per the peace agreement, while it was also said that the peace committees established under the peace agreement will have to fulfill their responsibilities.
