KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the federal government must renegotiate its ruinous deal with the International Monetary Funds (IMF) as the country was facing an outbreak due to the coronavirus.
The PPP chairman took it to Twitter, “It has been PPP’s position for some time that federal government must renegotiate its ruinous deal with the IMF. Given we are facing a global pandemic government must renegotiate new terms with IMF that take into account the impact of #COVID on the global economy.”

Bilawal Zardari added that we were facing a global outbreak of the coronavirus, so the government might set new terms with the IMF. The number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan has increased to 1102 while the number of casualties has been eight and 21 patients have recovered.
Sindh recorded the highest number of 417, Punjab 323, Balochistan 131, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 121, Gilgit-Baltistan 84, Islamabad 25 and Azad Kashmir one case was reported. In the last 24 hours, 50 new cases have been reported, while the first virus has been killed in Islamabad.
