Govt makes booster doses compulsory for those who want to go abroad

LAHORE: The government has decided in principle to give booster doses to those waiting to go abroad and a strategy has also been prepared for it while imposing restrictions on those who do not get vaccinated. 

The government has decided to impose a booster dose of the vaccine for those waiting to go abroad. The booster vaccination will start this month and the vaccination will continue in certain cities.

Sources said that there will be separate counters for booster vaccination of those going abroad and these people will be given American and British booster doses. The booster vaccination of those going abroad is subject to a travel document. 

According to sources, those wishing to booster vaccination will have to show a visa, then a booster dose of the vaccine will be applied and later a booster dose certificate will be issued to those waiting to go abroad. On the other hand, Commissioner Lahore has set deadlines for entry into public places for those who have not been vaccinated.

The deadline for administering the first vaccination dose to teachers, administration, and transport has been set for September 31. The deadline for administering the second dose has been set for September 30 for those attached to the education department.

The deadline for the first dose is set for September 15 for those working at terminals on all types of public transport, while the second is set for October 15. Vaccination is mandatory till September 30 for admission in hotels, restaurants, and wedding halls.

The deadline for the first dose of vaccination for travel in Metro, Orange Train, and BRT is August 31. Awareness campaigns have been launched to highlight the importance of vaccination from September 1 to September 15. It has been decided to run awareness campaigns by September to highlight the importance of vaccination.

Commissioner Lahore said that it would be the responsibility of the head of the agency to vaccinate the employees working in all government and private offices. Owners would ensure the responsibility of checking the vaccination of staff and customers in hotels, restaurants, and shopping malls.
