KARACHI: Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday visited the mausoleum of founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
They offered Fateha and laid a floral wreath on the Mazar-e-Quaid on the occasion of Pakistan Day. Members of the Sindh cabinet were also present on the occasion. Both also wrote their comments in the visitors’ book.
Speaking to media after visiting the mausoleum, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail said there could be differences between the PTI and PPP but both parties want prosperity and development of Sindh.
“There are reservations of both PTI and the PPP against each other, which either can be resolved or not,” said the governor, adding that both sides are on the same page for the resolution of the problems being faced by Sindh.
He said there were no differences between the federal government with the provincial government that can affect the provision of funds or stop development projects.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah said his government supports the move by the federal government to resolve Karachi’s problems. Murad said he was working hard to serve the masses and spart from political differences, they are united when it comes to the resolution of the problems faced by residents.
The nation is celebrating Pakistan Day with a renewed pledge to transform the country into a truly Islamic and welfare state in line with the vision of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Earlier today, simple but graceful Change of Guards ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Iqbal in Lahore. Pakistan Air Force officials took charge of guard duty from Punjab Rangers. Air Vice Marshal Nadeem Akhtar Khan was the chief guest on the occasion who laid floral wreath over the national poet’s grave. He paid rich tributes to the great philosopher while writing comments in visitors’ book.
