ISLAMABAD: Minister of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal has said that the federal government has set realistic economic goals in the budget 2023-24.
According to details, while talking to a private TV channel, Ahsan Iqbal said that the government has not only made long-term policies to bring economic stability to the country but has also set realistic economic goals.
During the conversation, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that the government has not imposed new taxes in the budget but has started measures to widen the tax net and prevent leakage in tax collection. “Balochistan’s share in Public Sector Development Program increased,” Ahsan Iqbal said.

The Federal Minister for Planning said that the PSDP is mainly aligned with the 5Es Framework which includes exports, equity, empowerment, environment, and energy besides reconstruction and rehabilitation of flood-affected areas.
Ahsan Iqbal said that 60 percent of the total PSDP has been allocated for ongoing schemes in the budget, while 40 percent has been kept for financing new schemes.
