The federal government has announced a reduction in petroleum prices and issued a notification in this regard, as reported by national media.
According to details, the Ministry of Finance has issued a notification regarding the reduction in petroleum product prices, according to which the prices of petroleum products have been reduced by two rupees.
The notification states that the government has decided to revise petroleum product prices for the next 15 days based on the recommendations of OGRA and the relevant ministries.
According to the notification, the price of petrol has been reduced by two rupees from Rs. 254.63 to Rs. 252.63 per liter. Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced from Rs. 258.64 to Rs. 256.64 per liter.
The new petroleum product prices will take effect from midnight and will remain applicable for the next fifteen days.
Earlier, there was a sigh of relief for inflation-hit Pakistanis as the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) lowered the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs. 3.20 per kg ahead of the petrol price review.
OGRA announced a reduction in the prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), providing relief to domestic consumers across the South Asian nation.
An official notification shared in this regard shows that the price of LPG has been reduced by Rs. 3.20 per kg, bringing the new rate to Rs. 245.16 per kg. The price of an 11.8 kg domestic LPG cylinder has also been reduced by Rs. 37.80 and will now cost Rs. 2,893.
