Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has stated that the salaried class is burdened with taxes, and the upcoming budget will consider reducing this burden.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, the finance minister said that preparations for the budget have begun, and reforms in the FBR are underway. He added that, for the first time in Pakistan’s history, the tax system has improved, and taxation in the real estate sector has also seen positive changes.
Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasized that speculation in real estate will not be allowed and that efforts are being made to support the construction industry. He expressed gratitude for the country’s economic stability, noting that the stock market is on the rise.
The federal finance minister further stated that he has held meetings in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and Washington, and there is no dissatisfaction among overseas Pakistanis. He highlighted that remittances have reached $35 million, and there has been a significant increase in Roshan Digital Accounts. He reiterated that the private sector will drive the country’s economic growth.
Additionally, he expressed full support and best wishes for the Pakistan cricket team, urging them to play with confidence and determination.
