Internet giant Google is celebrating Pakistani legendary actor and comedian late Moin Akhter’s 71st birth anniversary with a retro doodle.
Google celebrated the 71st birthday of the comedy legend with a retro doodle featuring him on several TV screens.
Born in Karachi, Moin Akhter was born on December 24, 1950, and began his acting career as a child actor at the age of 13. He made his television debut on 6th September 1966.
From theater to the silver screen, Moin Akhtar’s work introduced nonstop laughter for everyone and became popular among the entertainment loving audience. He made his television debut on 6 September 1966, in a variety show on Pakistan Television (PTV) to celebrate the first Defence Day of Pakistan.

He was fluent in several languages, including English, Bengali, Sindhi, Punjabi, Memon, Pashto, Gujarati, and Urdu. In recognition of his artistic services, Moin Akhtar was also awarded the Presidential Medal for Excellence and the Star of Distinction.
Moin Akhtar’s popular TV dramas and programs include ‘Rosy’, ‘Intezar Paraye’, ‘Bandar Road Se Kemari’, ‘Angan Terha’, ‘Studio Dhai’, ‘Studio Pune Teentar Studio Dhai’, ‘Yes Sir Nawsar’, and many popular stages plays.
