Gold prices witnessed a slight increase in the local market while the international rate remains unchanged on Tuesday.
Following a 150-rupee increase, the yellow metal’s per tola rate was Rs214,450. Similar to this, the 10-gram gold gained Rs128 during the day and was sold for Rs183,856, according to prices released by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Saturday, gold prices in Pakistan had increased by Rs1,100 per tola.
With a premium of $20, the international rate of gold on Tuesday remained unchanged at $2,042 per ounce, APGJSA said.
Meanwhile, silver rates increased by Rs20 to settle at Rs2,570 per tola.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee slipped lower against the US dollar, depreciating 0.08% in the inter-bank market on Tuesday.
At close, the local unit settled at 279.57, a loss of Re0.21 against the greenback, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
On Monday, the rupee remained unchanged to settle at 279.36 against the US dollar, according to the SBP.
