KARACHI: Pakistan’s gold prices remained unchanged on Monday due to the yellow metal’s stability on the global market.
In the local market, gold price per tola was unchanged at Rs230,200, while the 10-gram gold was sold at Rs197,360, as per the rates shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
With a premium of $20, the international rate of gold on Monday also remained unchanged at $2,198 per ounce, APGJSA said.
Meanwhile, silver rates remained stable at Rs2,600 per tola.
Moreover, the Pakistani rupee registered a minor loss against the US dollar, depreciating 0.01% in the inter-bank market on Monday.
At close, the local unit settled at 279.08, a loss of Re0.04, against the greenback, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
During the previous week, the rupee increased marginally for the second consecutive week as it gained Re0.15 or 0.05% against the US dollar in the inter-bank market.
