A significant decline in gold prices was recorded in Pakistan, reflecting the ongoing downward trend in global gold prices, as reported by national media on Saturday.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola in the local market decreased by 5,000 rupees, bringing it down to 351,000 rupees.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold also dropped by 4,287 rupees, setting the new price at 300,925 rupees. This decline came after an increase on Thursday, when the price of gold per tola had risen by 1,335 rupees to reach 356,000 rupees.
All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association stated that a decrease in gold prices was also recorded globally, where the per ounce price fell by 53 dollars, setting the new rate at 3,290 dollars, which includes a 20-dollar premium.
In addition, a decrease was also seen in the price of silver, with the price per tola falling by 68 rupees to 3,782 rupees.
