The downward trend in gold prices in Pakistan continued on Thursday, reflecting changes in the international market, as reported by national media.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola in the country decreased by Rs. 900, bringing the new price to Rs. 355,100. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold also dropped by Rs. 771, now standing at Rs. 304,414.
This decrease followed a major drop on Wednesday, when the price of gold per tola fell sharply by Rs. 3,000, bringing the rate to Rs. 356,000.
Gold prices also showed a declining trend in the international market. According to the All Pakistan Jewellers Association, the international price of gold per ounce fell by $9, reaching $3,326, which includes a $20 premium.
Not only gold, but silver prices also declined. The price of silver per tola decreased by Rs. 50, setting the new price at Rs. 3,964.
