Gold prices in Pakistan on Monday saw a rise of Rs1700 per tola, driven by a continuous increase in the international markets.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association, the price of gold in Pakistan reached Rs303,200 per tola.
Moreover, the rate for 24-carat gold increased by Rs1458, bringing the price to Rs259,945 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable at Rs3350 per tola. Globally, gold prices rose by $17 per ounce, reaching $2,900.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee lowered against the US dollar, depreciating 0.16% in the inter-bank market on Monday.
At close, the rupee settled at 279.67, a loss of Re0.46 against the greenback.
During the previous week, the rupee depreciated against the US dollar as it lost Re0.16 or 0.06% in the inter-bank market.
