Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a massive surge on Wednesday as the price of gold in the local market increased by Rs4,250 per tola, reaching Rs287,450.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs3,642, settling at Rs246,440, according to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Tuesday, the gold price per tola had recorded a smaller increase of Rs300, closing at Rs283,200.
Globally, gold prices also saw an upward trend on Wednesday. According to the APGJSA, the international gold rate stood at $2,751 per ounce, including a $20 premium, reflecting a $40 increase during the day.
Meanwhile, silver prices also rose, with an increase of Rs59.4 per tola, bringing the rate to Rs3,431.
