Gold prices in Pakistan on Thursday surged Rs2,500, reflecting movements in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola increased Rs2,500, settling at Rs357,600. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold surged by Rs2,143 to Rs306,584.
This follows a decline on Thursday, when gold per tola fell by Rs900 to reach Rs355,100.
On the global front, gold prices also rose as the international rate stood at $3,351 per ounce, reflecting an increase of $25 for the day, with a premium of $20 included, as reported by APGJSA.
In addition to gold, silver prices also moved upward. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs48, reaching Rs4,012.
