Gold prices continued its upward trend as it reached a new all-time high on Monday in Pakistan.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs200, reaching Rs292,400.
Likewise, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs171, reaching Rs250,685, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Saturday, gold per tola had already hit a then-record high of Rs292,200 after an increase of Rs400.

Meanwhile, international gold prices also saw an uptick on Monday. According to APGJSA, the global rate stood at $2,799 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a $2 increase during the day.
In contrast, silver prices fell by Rs5, settling at Rs3,265 per tola.
